Abstract Submission

Submit your research and contribute to advancing youth development

Submission Requirements

We invite researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and youth advocates to submit extended abstracts for presentation at NRSYD 2026.

Submission Types:

  • Oral Presentations: 15-minute presentations followed by Q&A
  • Poster Presentations: Visual displays of research findings

Language:

All submissions must be in English. Extended abstracts should be between 800–1000 words, excluding references.

Review Process:

All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process. Accepted papers will be published in the symposium proceedings.

Extended Abstract Template

Extended abstracts must be submitted in both Word and PDF formats. The word limit is 1,500 words, excluding the summary and reference list. Abstracts not following the format will be rejected.

01 Short Abstract
(Summary of the Study)
  • Provide a concise summary of the study (maximum 300 words).
  • The short abstract should briefly present the research background, objectives, methods, key findings, and conclusions.
  • The summary must be clear, coherent, and self-contained.
02 Sub-theme
  • Clearly indicate the relevant conference sub-theme at the top of the short abstract, above the title and authors' names.
03 Title
  • The title should be concise and clearly reflect the study.
  • Use capital letters only for the first letter of the first word and proper nouns.
04 Author(s) and
Affiliations
  • Use capital letters only for initials and the first letters of authors' surnames.
  • Provide institutional affiliation(s) directly under each author's name.
  • For authors from different institutions, use superscript numbers to indicate affiliations.

  • References should be formatted according to APA Style (7th edition).
  • Include only essential references.

File naming: Use the format Surname(s)_Title_of_Research (underscores between words). Example: Jayathilaka_Youth_Work_In_SriLanka

Submission Guidelines

  1. 1 All submissions should be made via the CMT portal: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/NRSYD2026
  2. 2 Extended abstracts must be submitted in both Word and PDF formats.
  3. 3 Do not submit the same abstract multiple times.
  4. 4 Each submission should be a single document containing: (a) the short abstract as the first page, and (b) the extended abstract.
  5. 5 The declaration form must be signed, scanned, and submitted via the CMT along with your abstract(s).
  6. 6 The file name of your submission should follow this format: Surname(s)_Title_of_Research (use underscores between words). Example: Jayathilaka_Youth_Work_In_SriLanka
  7. 7 All correspondence regarding the submission will be addressed to the corresponding author.

Declaration Form

The declaration form must be signed, scanned, and submitted via the CMT along with your abstract(s).
